Rising Stars to be Discovered by Telefutura and Univision’s Objetivo Fama 2 Auditions in Hollywood
Hollywood, CA -- Objetivo Fama 2 Auditions, an opportunity of FAME for young adults between 18 and 28-years-old, has arrived to Hollywood. Auditions will take place on Saturday, October 16 from 8:00 a.m.-3:00pm in the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, 1755 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood, CA 90028.
Six more auditions are scheduled throughout the United States between November 6 and November 20, 2004. The auditions will take place in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Phoenix, Miami, and Houston. The winner will sign a contract with Univision Music, receive $25,000 in cash, and be on the road of the rich and famous. One of the largest talent search for Hispanic talent in the U.S., the auditions will take place in seven of the biggest cities in the United States: Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Phoenix, Miami, and Houston. The winner will sign a contract with Univision Music, receive $25,000 in cash, and be on the road of the rich and famous.
The top 18 finalists will receive intense professional training for 14 weeks in Puerto Rico at the Guaynabo School of Performing Arts. Experts will train the finalists in singing technique, dance, theatre, image and fashion. Their stay, training, and interaction will be recorded and broadcast through television. The goal is to discover diamonds in the rough and turn them into shining stars.
Those interested in auditioning must be between 18 and 28-years-old, know how to dance and sing in Spanish, and be a resident of the United States or Puerto Rico. “Objetivo Fama 1” was a grand success in Puerto Rico: more than three million calls were received; 35,000 records were sold; two coliseums were filled to capacity with thousands of fans. Janina Irazterri, 20-years-old, was the grand winner.
