26th Annual Fiestas Patrias Celebration 2005 Cancelled
Houston, TX -- Univision Radio, the largest Spanish-language radio broadcaster in the United States, today announced that its 26th Annual Univision Radio FIESTAS PATRIAS Celebration which was scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 4th, 2005 at the Reliant Center has been cancelled.
We are all aware of the terrible devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) has confirmed that it will need to utilize the Reliant Center in order to assist the thousands of homeless victims of Hurricane Katrina effective immediately.
Univision has joined forces with the American Red Cross to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, and further details will be announced later today.
