Telefutura Announces Worldwide Premiere of “Por Amor”

Original Novela Exclusively Produced for Telefutura to Launch on the 12th

Miami, FL -- TeleFutura will mark an important milestone in its history as it broadcasts the world premiere of its striking new novela “Por Amor” (For Love), Tuesday, September 12 at 6 pm ET/PT (5pm Central).

Shot on location in Colombia’s colorful flower growing districts, “Por Amor” is produced by Telecolombia and RCN exclusively for TeleFutura. It tells the story of the young and beautiful Azucena, played by Ana María Medina in her first international production, a simple country girl who, in spite of her humble background, faces life and its obstacles head-on with courage, valor, and a very big heart.

When Azucena meets José Ángel (Abel Rodriguez), the rich, handsome president of the flower exportation company she works for, she knows she has finally found her Prince Charming. But José Ángel’s family is rife with hidden secrets, infidelity, hate, and even undiscovered crime, and Azucena must overcome these and other dark forces that conspire against her. But together, she and José Ángel know they must stand and fight for the most noble reason of all…for love.

In keeping with the world class production, the novela’s theme song will be the first recording by Marlon Fernández, last season’s winner of TeleFutura’s highly successful singing competition program “Objetivo Fama” (Objective Fame).
