Univision Announces Title Sponsors for the 6th Annual “Premios Juventud” Youth Awards Show
Coca-Cola, Chevy, JCPenney, McDonald’s, Orbit, State Farm and T-Mobile
Miami, FL -- The Univision Network announced today the title sponsors of its 6th annual “Premios Juventud” Youth Awards program, the #1 awards show of its kind on television honoring recording artists, movie stars, sports figures, and fashion and pop culture icons who are popular with this country’s Hispanic youth. Coca-Cola, Chevy, JCPenney, McDonald’s, Orbit, State Farm and T-Mobile will be prominently featured throughout the program. “Premios Juventud” will air LIVE from Miami’s BankUnited Center on July 16th at 8p.m. ET/PT (7p.m. Central). Preceding the awards show telecast, Univision will present exclusive coverage of celebrity arrivals direct from the “Premios Juventud” carpet starting at 7pm ET/PT (6pm Central).

Returning sponsor, JCPenney is the proud underwriter of three scholarships for youth programs in academics, the arts and sports. Winners will be announced during the “Premios Juventud” broadcast and, in addition to the $45,000 scholarship prize, the three recipients will also undergo a unique back-to-school style makeover at JCPenney featuring the latest in Juniors and Young Men’s lifestyle brands. The winners will also be special guests on Univision’s “Despierta América” (Wake-Up America) the next morning to discuss their stories and unforgettable experience. In addition, JCPenney is the proud exclusive retail sponsor of the “Premios Juventud” VIP Post Party. Prior to the awards, JCPenney is hosting local market retail events in the Miami area providing lucky consumers the opportunity to win tickets to the show.
“Like a good neighbor,” returning sponsor State Farm will bring an A-List ‘Mystery Celebrity’ to the blue carpet and will surprise two lucky fans with the “Premios Juventud” experience of a lifetime. The winners will get to walk the blue carpet and receive VIP tickets to the event all courtesy of State Farm. On the digital front, State Farm is the exclusive sponsor of “Backstage,” a special section on Univision.com’s “Premios Juventud” mini-site (keyword: State Farm) that will give fans a chance to watch behind-the-scenes moments of their favorite artists. Univision.com has created “Secretos de Premios Juventud” (Secrets of Premios Juventud), an online section of Univision.com sponsored by Coca-Cola, where fans can access exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with celebrity guests attending “Premios Juventud,” such as Kany Garcia, La Quinta Estacion, Luis Fonsi, Arcángel, Makano, Cristian Castro, Chenoa, Los Super Reyes, Alexander Acha, Jesse y Joy, and Alexis y Fido. Univision.com users will be able to play a “Premios Juventud” match game and trivia powered by Coke’s newest secret ingredient; # 38: Fanhancer.
