Phyllis Verdugo Named Senior Vice President of Law Department of Univision Communications Inc.
New York, NY -- Univision Communications Inc, the largest Spanish-language media company in the United States, today announced the promotion of Phyllis Verdugo to Senior Vice-President, in addition to her current Deputy General Counsel position. She will continue to report to Doug Kranwinkle, General Counsel and Executive Vice-President, Univision Communications Inc. and oversee and manage the day-to-day activities and operations of the Legal Department. Phyllis Verdugo joined Univision in 1997 as Senior Legal Counsel and became Deputy General Counsel in 2000. Prior to her appointment at Univision, Verdugo was in private practice for 18 years representing domestic and international companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and other business transactions.
