KTVW Univision 33 #1 Phoenix TV Station in November 2008 Sweep
Station Takes Lead in the Market Among All Broadcasters, Regardless of Language
Phoenix, AZ -- With just two days remaining, KTVW-TV Univision 33 is predicted to be the winner of the November 2008 Sweeps. Univision 33 in Phoenix currently leads all other television stations in the market, regardless of language. Results from the Nielsen Station Index (NSI) confirm KTVW-TV Univision 33’s leadership position in various dayparts among key demographic groups, including total viewers, Persons 2-17, Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.
Overall Highlights
• KTVW-TV delivered 27 of the top 50 most watched programs among Adults 18-34, 22 of the top 50 most watched programs among Adults 18-49 and 20 of the top 50 most watched programs among Adults 25-54.
• KTVW-TV Univision 33 is currently in a three-way tie for the most watched television station among total viewers in Phoenix in total day (Monday to Sunday 6:00 am to 2:00 am) with KPNX-TV NBC 12 and KSAZ-TV FOX 10. Among Adults 18-34 and 18-49, Univision 33 is the clear ratings leader, commanding a +80% and +25% lead over #2 ranked KSAZ-TV FOX 10 among the two demographics respectively. Univision 33 is also the #1 choice among Adults 25-54, leading the two stations tied for second place (KSAZ-TV FOX 10 & KPNX-TV NBC 12) by +14%.
Primetime Highlights
• KTVW-TV Univision 33 is the #1 station in primetime among Persons 2-17, Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54. On any given night, Univision 33 averages 124,000 total viewers. The station leads #2 ranked KPNX-TV NBC 12 by +50%, +12%, and +8% among Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 respectively. Among Persons 2-17, Univision 33 out delivers #2 KSAZ-TV FOX 10 by +153%.
• Among the Valley’s major broadcasters, KTVW-TV Univision 33 was the most watched station 18 of the 26 nights among Persons 2-17 and Adults 18-34, 13 of the 26 nights among Adults 18-49 and 11 of the 26 nights among Adults 25-54.
• “Fuego en la Sangre” (Burning for Revenge) on Thursdays at 8:00 pm was watched by more Persons 2-17, Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 than any other program that night.
• On Fridays, the top four programs among Adults 18-34 and 18-49 were all on Univision 33. “Fuego en la Sangre,” “Lo Que no Vio…Latin GRAMMYS” (What You Didn’t See…Latin GRAMMYS), “Cuidado con el Angel” (Don’t Mess with the Angel) and “La Rosa de Guadalupe” (The Rose of Guadalupe) had more viewers than CBS’s “NCIS” and “Numbers,” ABC’s “20/20,” My Network TV’s “Suns Basketball” and ABC’s “Supernanny.”

Local News Highlights
• KTVW-TV Univision 33’s “Noticias 33” (News 33) at 5:00 pm is the most watched newscast in the Valley. “Noticias 33” not only ranked #1 among Adults 25-54, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 for early local news at 5:00 p.m., it had more Adult 18-34 viewers than the combined audiences of four of the other local newscasts (KPNX-TV’s “12 News Evening Edition at 5,” KTVK-TV’s “Good Evening Arizona,” KNXV-TV’s “ABC 15 News at 5” and KPHO’s “CBS 5 News at 5”).
• Again at 10:00 pm, “Noticias 33” out ranks the competing local news programs with a +94%, +17%, and +8% ratings lead among Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 respectively over #2 ranked KPNX-TV’s “12 News at 10.”
