Woodland Hills, CA -- In what is unquestionably Latin Music’s top Regional Mexican/ banda/corrido female recording artist Jenni Rivera, charts at No.5 n Billboard’s Top ‘Latin Regional Mexican Albums’ (week ending October 14, 2006) with the special edition of her live recording “Besos Y Copas Desde Hollywood”. While her newest single “Besos y Copas” currently sits at No. 10 on Billboard’s ‘Regional Mexican Album Chart’ (week of October 21, 2006).

The single is rapidly climbing once again to the No. 1 spot as she previously scored with her bold single
“De Contrabando” a song that spoke about the consenting of an affair with a married man.

 Perhaps not enough has been told about women in contemporary Regional Mexican music in particular ‘Banda/Corrido’ genres; but one thing’s for sure: Jenni Rivera (sister of popular Lupillo Rivera) is the leading female artist in contemporary Regional Mexican ‘Banda/Corrido,’ a prominent female figure in a style that is dominated by men.

Boasting a discography of over 10 albums to her credit, Jenni Rivera is adding to that tally once again, the newly released special edition (CD/DVD) of “Besos y Copas Desde Hollywood” (released on September 12, 2006), is part two of her critically acclaimed ‘Sold Out’ concert performance at the Kodak Theater last Fall.  Another chart-topping special edition CD/DVD release spun by this ‘Sold Out’ event was “En Vivo Desde Hollywood”(released on May 2, 2006) both follow on the heels of the likewise Top 20 album “Parrandera, Rebelde Y Atrevida” released last Fall.

“Parrandera, Rebelde y Atrevida” appropriately titled in defining her personality as a: party girl, a rebel and daring, characteristics she undoubtedly shares with thousands of her female fans.  This album earned Jenni Rivera certified RIAA Latin Gold & Platinum albums in the United States; a ‘Sold Out’ night at the Gibson Amphitheater on August 5, 2006 and a No. 1 hit “De Contrabando”.
