Conjunto Primavera is nominated for ‘Best Regional Mexican Song’ for (“Aun Sigues Siendo Mia”) penned by Tony Melendez (lead vocalist of Conjunto Primavera), Edgar & Ernesto Cortazar, off their top selling album “Hoy Como Ayer”(2005).

Gaining momentum on the music charts is Conjunto Primavera’s third single titled “Ni Asi Me Rajo”, a saxophone driven romantic cut written by Manuel E. Castro.

Driven by chart-topping hits earlier this year, the group earned a No. 1 hit with their first single & title track “Algo De Mi” that remained at the number one position on Billboard’s ‘Regional Mexican Airplay’ chart for 10 consecutive weeks.

Their current studio album “Algo De Mi” gathers 10 incredible tracks such as: “Diganle” written by the legendary Mexican singer-songwriter Lorenzo de Monteclaro, “Con La Mitad” written by the late Jose Alfredo Jimenez, plus signature sound newly recorded songs such as: the title track “Algo De Mi,” “Solo,” “Ni, Asi Me Rajo,” among many great Norteño anthems.

In addition, this album features a DVD that includes ‘behind the scenes’ footage of the video shoot, plus a special interview and a new photo gallery.

Since the early ‘90s, Conjunto Primavera emerged as one of the top Norteño groups with their exciting blend of zesty saxophones, energetic percussions and the unique vocal talent of Tony Melendez, since then the Chihuahua, Mexico based sextet has generated numerous memorable hits, all characterized by the group’s stylish saxophone, keyboard, accordion-fueled cumbias.

As leaders of the Norteño/romantic genre, Conjunto Primavera has experienced a gradual ascension on their path to superstardom. The group has earned multiple RIAA Gold (500,000) and Platinum (1,000,000) certifications for their albums:  “Perdoname Mi Amor” (2002) “Necesito Decirte” (2002), “Ansia de Amar” (2002) and  “Morir de Amor”(2000).
