Duelo is #1 with “Te Compro” #1 Single – Billboard Regional Mexican
100,000 Units Sold of Album “Relaciones Conflictivas” a Total Hit in Southern California
Woodland Hills, CA -- Grupo Duelo rapidly climbed to no. 1 with the song “Te Compro,” a song inspired by Espinoza Paz that is the second promotional single for the album “Relaciones Conflictivas.” “Te Compro” is now #1 on the Billboard Regional Mexican charts with more than 11 million audience points. "For us, it's an honor and another achievement to make it to number one," said Oscar Ivan Treviño, lead vocalist for the band. "We'd like to thank all the radio stations, the media, and our fans for all the support they have given us." “Relaciones Conflictivas,” produced by Oscar Ivan Treviño and Dimas Lopez Jr., the band's accordionist, is the fifth album of Grupo Duelo and has sold 100,000 units less than two months after going on sale. Also, “Relaciones Conflictivas” has remained on the Top Ten for Billboard's Regional Mexican chart for 9 consecutive weeks. There is no doubt whatsoever that the artistic and musical power of this young group has already earned a very special place in the hearts of fans who like good norteña music. "We're so happy to have 100 thousand copies sold of 'Relaciones Conflictivas,' and it's something the whole group is proud of, since we were responsible for the production," added Ivan Treviño. Grupo Duelo's first time in Southern California was a complete success. Last weekend, this young and talented group conquered the music scene with packed concerts in Los Angeles, South Gate, Baskersfield and Hollywood. Their fans eagerly joined in all of the songs that Oscar Ivan Treviño interpreted for them with great feeling. Now that Grupo Duelo has met with such amazing success in Southern California (one of the most important places for any group to succeed), this will serve as a platform and stepping-stone for the band to continue winning over more fans and be a hit in many more cities to come.
