Jorge Daboub es Nombrado Vicepresidente de Mercadeo y Desarrollo de Negocios del Grupo de Televisión Univision

Miami, FL -- Univision Communications (NYSE: UVN), the leading Spanish-language media company in the United States, announced the appointment of Jorge Daboub to the position of Vice President, Marketing and Business Development for Univision Television Group.  Prior to assuming this position, Daboub served as Director of Marketing and Business Development for Univision’s KMEX-TV Los Angeles station since 1999.  Based in Los Angeles, Daboub will be responsible for developing marketing platforms and programs that serve and effectively reach the Hispanic consumer, including establishing strategic alliances with current and potential businesses and community partners and developing Univision’s Health platform.

In his previous role as KMEX’s Director of Marketing and Business Development, Daboub was responsible for new business and business expansion efforts as well as the local sales staff. Daboub joined Univision in 1993 serving as the Local Sales Manager for KMEX-TV Los Angeles until 1999, where he oversaw the servicing of clients, their respective agencies and revenue development. Prior to his career at Univision, Daboub worked for Telemundo’s Los Angeles Station KVEA, Vista Magazine, a national print vehicle, and as an Account Manager at Pitney Bowes.

Daboub, a native of Mexico City, earned a Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada.  His studies included studying International Finance at the University of Copenhagen, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
